Tooth colored restorations
A bright, consistent smile can do wonders for one’s confidence. Our tooth colored restoration techniques take advantage of nifty high-tech gadgets to match crowns and bridges to your natural tooth color—for a virtually undetectable finish. We also offer whitening services to brighten your entire smile. We offer composite resin restorations instead of metal fillings. Most people call them white fillings.
Are you due, or past due for a cleaning? Don't feel guilty, just make the next step forward and we will partner with you to help you maintain a healthy mouth. That smooth feeling after a cleaning is just amazing.
Dr. Geisler is a general dentist who happens to love to see children. We believe that healthy mouths in children are important to their total well-being. Baby teeth are important for chewing, smiling, speaking, and holding a place for permanent teeth. It is recommended by physicians that children see a dentist by the age of 1.When permanent teeth arrive, your child will benefit from sealants to prevent cavities in the pits and grooves of their teeth. We see infants for tongue tie releases. Our laser treatment makes the procedure more comfortable and heals faster when a frenctomy is done.
Crowns are a strong and beautiful way to restore fractured teeth, teeth with large fillings, or teeth with root canals. Dr. Geisler carefully shapes your new crown to fit seamlessly into your smile. We focus on metal-free dentistry at Life Smiles.
Invisalign & clear aligners
Invisalign is an alternative to braces. Treatment with Invisalign is quick and easy. With Invisalign, you don’t wear metal braces. Instead, your teeth are straightened by wearing a series of clear plastic aligners. The aligners are so inconspicuous that most people won’t be able to tell you’re wearing them. You’ll wear each set of clear aligners for about two weeks at a time, while your teeth move little by little toward the smile you’ve always wanted. The aligners are worn all the time, except when you’re eating, drinking anything but water, brushing, and flossing. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat all your favorite foods.
Veneers are a conservative way to change the appearance of your smile. It is sometimes needed for just one tooth, or can be used across a smile (8 veneers). When well done, they look very natural, they don't have to be blinding white unless the patient requests that. Veneers can change the color, spacing, crowding, length or rotations of your front teeth. Veneers are a great option for adults who are interested in something other than orthodontics. They are typically completed in 2 or three appointments within 4 weeks.
While people don't really want a root canal, sometimes they are needed for getting you out of pain. Dr. Geisler does many root canals at our location. We make sure you are comfortable and pain-free if you are needing any type of restorative procedure, including root canals. We have had quite a few people take naps during their root canals because they are so comfortable.
Most people call this pulling teeth or removing teeth. For children and adults, an extraction may be necessary at some time. Dr. Geisler is experienced at removing teeth and can help you make the decision between that and any possible alternatives.
Dentists don't like to call problems with your jaw joint, "TMJ", but prefer "TMD" which stands for Temporomandibular Disorder. We offer diagnosis and treatment options for painful joints, muscle pain, headaches, tooth wear, and joint noises such as clicking and popping.
Mouthguards protect your teeth and can help prevent concussions. If you are active in athletics, you may need a guard, we can make one!
Those retainers we received as teenagers often get lost, not worn, or come unbonded from our teeth. Dr. Geisler can help address your concerns and keep your teeth from shifting and crowding.
IMPLANTS and Partials
Dr. Geisler can replace missing teeth with partial dentures. Implants may also be an option to give more stability and comfort in chewing with those dentures and partials. Implants are preferred method of tooth replacement for many situations.
When an infection called Periodontitis affects you, it causes many problems. Bone loss around your teeth, loosening teeth, bleeding gums, bad breath and systemic inflammation through your entire body is happening due to gum disease. We see people daily with gum disease and can offer hope to maintain your teeth.
What can lasers do for you and change your dental experience? Lasers are used to enhance healing, and at our office we use both a soft tissue and a low level laser. When used in a procedure, they prevent discomfort, swelling and reduce the risk of infection after a procedure. Biostimulation is the official term used and it involves improving circulation, encouraging collagen and fibroblastic activity and improves bone formation.
Oral Cancer Screening
Screenings are recommended yearly for everyone, even those without any teeth! Oral cancer is on the rise. Because it is related to a virus passed from one person to another, it does not discriminate based on age. Statistically, it inflicts a younger average demographic than in the past.
Botox and Dermal Fillers
Dentists are able to use Botox and dermal fillers in their office, and really are the most comfortable healthcare provider to give injections around the face. Dr. Geisler is trained in techniques to help give a mouth youthful appearance, or delay the appearance of wrinkles. Many have found Botox, as an adjunct procedure, to significantly reduce muscle pain in the temple and lower jaw areas.
